In brief
While creating a video, turn an image in your slide into a short animated video with AI, without leaving the editor. The video directly replaces the image in your slide.
📸 Another way in: you can also animate your photos from AI photo retouching. There you will find all the effects, including Before / After and Renovation, and you download the video to use it wherever you like.
Before you start
Turning images into videos is reserved for the Elite plan.
AI effects are in early access: they are limited to 5 generations per day and per user (see "Good to know").
Open your project and go to the 1. Editing step.
Available movements and effects
Camera movement
The video simulates a camera moving through the room.
Recommended movements: Forward (default) and Final image.
Experimental movements: Up, Down, Left, Right, Backward. The result may stray further from the original photo.
With Final image, you add a second photo of the same room, taken from another angle: the video creates a transition from the first photo to the second.
AI effects
With an effect, the camera stays still: it is the scene that changes.
Furniture appearing: furniture and decor gradually appear in the room.
Timelapse: the scene changes over the course of the day. Ideal for outdoor photos or photos with a view outside.
Season change: the outdoor surroundings move from one season to another. Ideal for gardens and terraces.
The Before / After and Renovation effects are only available in AI photo retouching.
Variants
Some effects offer a Variant to refine the result. The list appears below the effect, and the first variant is preselected.
Timelapse: Steady daylight, Sunrise, Sunset, Day to night, Evening mood.
Season change: Summer to autumn, Autumn to winter, Winter to spring.
Animating an image in your slide
Step 1: Open the Turn into video option
In the 1. Editing step of your project, select the slide. On the image, click the … icon, then Turn into video.
Step 2: Choose a camera movement or an effect
In the Effect list, keep Camera movement (default) or choose Furniture appearing, Timelapse or Season change, then the variant if the effect offers one.
With Camera movement, choose the movement. With Final image, add the second photo: the Generate button becomes active once the photo has been added.
Step 3: Choose the format and generate the video
The Format follows that of your project; you can choose Landscape or Portrait. Click Generate: the Generating label appears on the image in the slide.
Step 4: Find and download the video
Once the generation is complete, the video replaces the image in your slide, with the Created by AI label. You have nothing else to do to use it in this project.
To reuse it elsewhere, click Download in the Video created with AI box, below the image.
If you run a new generation on the same image, the new video replaces the previous one.
Good to know
Daily limit: each user can generate up to 5 videos per day with an AI effect and 20 videos per day with a camera movement. The counter resets every night at midnight UTC (1 or 2 a.m. Paris time). When an effect is selected, a box reminds you of this limit.
Once the limit is reached, a message invites you to try again the next day.
Video length: between 4 and 8 seconds depending on the movement or effect.
If the generation fails, a Generation error message appears with the Try again button.
FAQ
1. Why can't I turn my images into videos?
The feature is reserved for the Elite plan. If your plan does not include it, a crown appears on Turn into video and on the generation button: click Generate to discover the Elite plan.
2. I can't find the Before / After and Renovation effects, is that normal?
Yes. They are only available in AI photo retouching. Create your video there, download it, then add it to your slide: ➡️ Turning a photo into a video in AI photo retouching.
3. How many videos can I generate per day?
Up to 5 videos with an AI effect and 20 videos with a camera movement, per user and per day. AI effects are in early access, hence this limit.
4. I have reached my limit, what should I do?
Try again the next day: the counter resets every night.
5. Which effect should I choose for my photo?
Timelapse or Season change for outdoor spaces and rooms with a view, Furniture appearing for an empty room or one to be furnished. For simple motion, keep Camera movement, or Final image if you have two photos of the same room.
6. What is a variant?
A version of an effect that refines the result, for example Sunrise or Sunset for a Timelapse. Not all effects offer variants.
7. How long are the videos?
Between 4 and 8 seconds: 4 seconds for a camera movement, 6 seconds for a Season change, 8 seconds with Final image.
8. Can I use the video in another project?
Yes: download it from the Video created with AI box, then add it to another slide.
Best practices 🎓
Work from sharp, well-framed and bright photos of an uncluttered room, taken from a distance: the better the starting photo, the more convincing the video.
For Final image, choose two photos of the same room taken from similar angles.
Always check the final result before sharing the video, to make sure it stays true to the reality of the property.
