In brief
The Watermark tool lets you add a mention to your retouched photos, for example "Layout suggestion by Danim", and, if you wish, your brand logo.
You choose the text, position, style, size and opacity of the watermark, then apply it to the photo displayed or to all the photos in the project at once.
Adding a watermark helps you stay transparent with your future buyers, especially when the retouch changes the layout or look of the property.
Before you start
Your photo must be added to a project. If it isn't yet, see the article Getting started with AI photo retouching.
To display your logo in the watermark, first save it in My Brand.
Adding a watermark to your retouched photos
Step 1: Open the Watermark tool
Open your project, click the retouched photo, then click Watermark in the left menu.
Step 2: Enter the text
The Text to display field is prefilled with "Layout suggestion by Danim". You can change it freely, up to 60 characters.
Step 3: Add your logo (optional)
Click Use my brand logo. The logo saved in My Brand appears in the watermark, to the left of the text.
Step 4: Customize the appearance
Position: choose one of the 9 positions offered (corners, edges or center). By default, the watermark is placed at the bottom right.
Style: choose Dark or Light so that the watermark stays legible, on a light photo as well as on a dark one.
Size: use the slider to enlarge or reduce the text and logo.
Opacity: use the slider to make the watermark more or less transparent.
Step 5: Apply the watermark
To apply the watermark to the photo displayed, click Watermark.
To apply the same watermark to all the photos in the project, enable Apply to all images in the batch, then click Generate for the whole batch.
Once the watermark is applied, click Before / After to check the result.
Step 6: Download your photos
Click the … menu on the photo to download it. To download all the photos in the project at once, click Export all images from the project page.
FAQ
1. How do I remove a watermark?
The watermark is applied to the current version of the photo. To get back a version without a watermark, open the history below the photo and select the previous version.
2. I'm not happy with the position or style of my watermark, how do I change it?
A watermark that has been applied cannot be edited: it is part of the photo. Open the history below the photo, select the version without a watermark, then apply a new watermark with the right settings.
Do not apply a new watermark to a version that already has one: the mention would appear twice on the photo.
3. Why isn't my logo displayed?
The watermark uses the logo saved in My Brand. Check that a logo is saved there, then click Use my brand logo again.
4. Can I apply the watermark to all my photos at once?
Yes. Enable Apply to all images in the batch: the same watermark is applied to all the photos in the project.
5. Should I add the watermark before or after the other retouches?
After. The watermark is applied to the current version of the photo: finish your retouches first, then add the watermark last.
6. My watermark is hard to read, what should I do?
Change the Style (Dark or Light) depending on the brightness of the photo, increase the Size or Opacity, or move it to a more uniform area of the photo.
Best practices 🎓
Always add a watermark when the retouch changes the layout or look of the property (furniture added, walls repainted, facade changed).
Keep the text short and explicit, for example "Layout suggestion by Danim" or "Retouched image".
Use the same position and style on all the photos of a property for a consistent look.
Add your logo to strengthen your brand image on social media.
Keywords: watermark, retouched image mention, virtual image, layout suggestion, logo, My Brand, transparency, apply to the whole batch, opacity.
