In brief
On Danim, you can edit a video or an image you have already created at any time, without starting from scratch.
Open your project from My projects, adjust your text, visuals or settings, then click Regenerate project in the Sharing step.
You will find the same steps as when you created it: 1. Editing, 2. Finalization and 3. Sharing for a video; 1. Editing and 2. Sharing for an image.
Before you start 🎯
You must already have at least one project (image or video) in My projects.
Plan the elements to correct or replace: new text, new photos or videos.
The experience is more comfortable on a computer, with a stable connection and an up-to-date browser (preferably Google Chrome).
How to edit a video or an image
Step 1: Open the project
Log in to Danim, click My projects in the left menu, then open the project to edit.
To quickly find a project (search, filters, statuses), see the article Finding and managing your projects.
Step 2: Make your changes
Editing works the same way as a new project. For example, you can:
edit your text (title, description, price, contact details, taglines, and so on) directly on each slide;
replace a photo or a video with new media: Adding media to a slide;
animate a photo with AI: Turning a photo into a video with AI;
adjust your colors, your logo or your font: Customizing the identity and advanced settings of a slide;
change the music: Choosing and setting the music of your video.
For details on each step, see:
for a video, the article Creating a video from a template;
for an image, the article Creating an image from a template.
Step 3: Regenerate the project
Once you have finished your changes, go to the Sharing step. The Have you edited your project? box appears: click Regenerate project.
Danim generates a new version of your video or image, which replaces the previous one.
Very important: until you regenerate the project, your downloadable videos or images stay in their previous version.
Want to keep the current version and create a variant (another town, another social network, another campaign)? Duplicate the project before editing it.
FAQ
1. How do I keep the original project and create a variant?
Duplicate it before editing it: from My projects, with the card's … menu, or from the editor, with the … menu at the top of the screen. You then edit the copy without touching the original.
2. A format is missing, how do I get it?
Your project is generated in all the formats offered by its template. If one is missing (for example because the format was added after your first generation):
open the project and go to the Sharing step;
above the preview, select the missing format;
in the New format detected box, click Generate videos (or Generate images).
Only the missing formats are generated: your other formats stay unchanged.
3. I can't see the Regenerate project button.
It appears once you have edited a project that has already been generated. If your project has never been generated, click Generate project.
Best practices 🎓
Go through all the slides to correct typos, prices, contact details or photos in one go, before regenerating.
