How do I insert a Danim 1 project into the Danim 2 platform?

Insert the videos and images you already created on Danim 1 into Danim 2 so you can easily share or schedule them.

You created a video or an image on the Danim 1 platform and want to insert it into Danim 2?

Then, to insert the project saved on your computer into the Danim 2 platform, follow the steps below.

Before you start 🎯

  • To log in to Danim 1, click here: https://app.danim.com/

  • To log in to Danim 2, click here: https://beta.danim.com/

  • Reminder: you will not be able to edit the video using Danim 2. Platforms 1 and 2 are not compatible, so the video will only be available to be posted exactly as it is.

  • There is no format to choose: your project is generated in all the available formats. When you download or post it, you choose the one that matches the dimensions of your Danim 1 file.

How to insert a Danim 1 project into the Danim 2 platform

Step 1: Access the platform and start from scratch

Log in to Danim 2 (https://beta.danim.com/) and click the Start from scratch card on the home page. The editor opens directly at the 1. Editing step.

Step 2: Add a slide with your media (1. Editing)

A template is normally made up of several slides. But in this case, we will only add one.

Click Add my first slide, type "image" in the search bar, then click the Image or video - Title and subtitle slide.

Step 2.a: 1. Editing, Content tab

Delete the pre-filled texts in the Title and Subtitle fields.

Then click the sample image to add the image or video from Danim 1 saved on your computer.

Remember: it is not possible to edit the content of a video or an image from Danim 1 on the Danim 2 platform.

Step 2.b: 1. Editing, Identity tab

Click the ⊘ icon to turn off the logo, as your video or image probably already contains the logo.

Step 2.c: 1. Editing, Advanced mode tab

You do not need to change anything here.

Take this opportunity to name your project and click Next.

Step 3: Choose the music (2. Finalization)

Here, check that adding new music is turned off, since your original video already has background music.

Then click Next.

Step 4: Generate the project (3. Sharing)

To finalize the video, you can:

  • Click the Save button to keep your project as a draft, or

  • At the 3. Sharing step, click the Generate project button.

You will then be taken to the video generation page, where you can schedule it to be posted on your social media with the Create & schedule posts button.

If you prefer, click the Download button, then choose the format that matches the dimensions of your Danim 1 file (for example 16:9 - Landscape) to save the project in a folder on your computer or phone.

You can also click Copy share link, then choose the format: Danim then generates a link that you can send directly to a client (by pasting it or pressing Ctrl + V), for example on WhatsApp.

FAQ

1. Can I edit a Danim 1 video or image imported into Danim 2?

No. The Danim 1 and Danim 2 platforms are not compatible. A project made on Danim 1 cannot be edited in Danim 2: you can only insert it and post it as it is, without changing its content (editing, embedded text, music).

2. Why don't my Danim 1 projects appear automatically in Danim 2?

Danim 2 is a new platform with a different creation environment.

For this reason, your Danim 1 projects are not transferred automatically to Danim 2. To reuse them, you must first download them from Danim 1, then import them as media into a new Danim 2 project, as explained in this article.

3. Do I have to download my Danim 1 project before inserting it into Danim 2?

Yes. To insert a Danim 1 project into Danim 2, you must first:

  1. Log in to Danim 1.

  2. Download the video or image to your computer or phone.

  3. Go back to Danim 2 and import this file into a slide (for example the Image or video - Title and subtitle slide).

4. Does this method permanently transfer my Danim 1 projects to Danim 2?

No. This method does not perform an account migration. You simply create a new Danim 2 project into which you insert media exported from Danim 1. Your original projects remain available in Danim 1 as long as your access is active.

5. How do I choose the dimensions of my project?

You have nothing to choose before you start: the project is generated in all the available formats. When you download, copy the link or post, choose the format that matches the dimensions of your Danim 1 file.

Best practices 🎓

  • Download and store your Danim 1 content in clear folders on your computer (by property, by listing agreement, by date). This will help you quickly find the files to import into Danim 2.

  • Rename your files with explicit names (for example: property-address-content-type.mp4 or .jpg). You will more easily identify the right video or image when importing it into Danim 2.

  • Before sharing the project with a client, check the playback of the generated video (music, image quality, no duplicate logo) to be sure of the final result.

  • At the Editing (logo) and Finalization (music) steps, always remember to turn off adding extra music or logos if your Danim 1 project already contains them, to avoid any visual or audio overlap.
