In brief
From the Network connections page, you can reconnect a social network whose connection has expired or fully disconnect an account from Danim 2 at any time.
This page lets you keep your network connections up to date while keeping access to your social accounts secure.
Before you start 🎯
Managing the connection (reconnecting, disconnecting) is reserved for the person who originally connected the account (the owner of the social media account).
An account in Connection expired status (orange badge) can no longer be used for posting, neither by you nor by your team, until it is reconnected.
When you disconnect, the account is removed from Danim and scheduled posts linked to this account may be deleted or moved back to draft, depending on the rules set.
How to reconnect or disconnect a social network
Step 1: Go to Danim and the Settings page
Log in to your Danim dashboard (https://beta.danim.com/), then click Settings in the left side menu and select Network connections.
Step 2: Reconnect an expired social network
Click the Reconnect button and wait a few seconds: reconnection happens automatically.
Once reconnection is complete, the badge switches back to Connected (green) and posting is possible again.
Good to know: as long as the account stays in Connection expired status, all posts linked to this account are blocked, even if the pages / profiles are shared with your team.
Step 3: Disconnect a social network
Click the ... icon, then Disconnect.
Good to know: if you disconnect this social network, all the accounts linked to it will also be disconnected.
Click Disconnect again to confirm.
FAQ
1. What is the difference between "Reconnect" and "Disconnect" for a social network?
Reconnect restores a connection that has expired (orange badge), for example after a password change or a change in permissions on the social network's side. The list of your pages / profiles stays the same, and you can post again.
Disconnect fully removes the account from Danim: the account is removed from the Network connections page, the associated pages / profiles are no longer available for posting, and linked scheduled posts may be affected (deleted or moved to draft).
2. Who can reconnect or disconnect a social media account in Danim 2?
Only the person who originally connected the account (the owner of the social media account) can:
click Reconnect when the connection has expired
click Disconnect to fully remove the account from Danim
The other members of the organization can see the shared pages / profiles, but do not have access to these sensitive actions.
3. What happens to scheduled posts if I disconnect an account?
When you disconnect an account:
The linked pages / profiles are no longer available for posting.
Scheduled posts attached to this account may be canceled or moved back to draft, depending on the rules set for your organization.
Check your posting calendar before disconnecting an important account.
Best practices 🎓
Regularly keep an eye on the Connected / Connection expired badges on the Network connections page so you can anticipate posting blocks.
Reconnect expired accounts quickly so your scheduled posts are not blocked or moved to draft.
Before disconnecting an account, go through your scheduled posts to check the impact and, if needed, reassign the posts to another account.
Prefer reconnecting to a fresh new connection if you simply want to restore access: this lets you keep your existing linked pages / profiles.
In a Team organization, let your colleagues know when you disconnect or reconnect an account everyone uses, to avoid surprises when it is time to post.
