Connecting LinkedIn to Danim

Connect your LinkedIn profile and the pages you manage to post your projects from Danim.

Written by Sophie Delpech

In brief

Connecting LinkedIn to Danim lets you post your videos and visuals to your personal profile and to the LinkedIn pages you manage, without leaving Danim.

Before you start 🎯

  • Each user connects their own social media accounts from their Settings.

  • Danim posts to your personal account and to the LinkedIn pages you are an admin of. Posting to LinkedIn groups is not available.

  • LinkedIn connects the account open in your browser. To connect another account, first sign out of LinkedIn (see step 2).

  • If you do not have a LinkedIn account yet, create one on LinkedIn first before coming back to Danim.

Connecting LinkedIn to Danim

Step 1: Open the Settings

Log in to your Danim account, then click Settings in the left side menu.

Step 2: Start the LinkedIn connection

Click Network connections, then, in the LinkedIn section, click Connect an account.

The Which LinkedIn account will be connected? window opens. It reminds you that LinkedIn offers the account already open in your browser.

  • If it is the right account, click Continue.

  • To connect another account: open linkedin.com in a new tab, click your profile picture, then Sign out. Go back to Danim and click Continue: LinkedIn will ask you to sign in.

Step 3: Authorize Danim on LinkedIn

If you are not signed in to LinkedIn, enter your LinkedIn email address and password, then click Sign in.

Click Allow. Check that the box is ticked, then click Confirm.

Step 4: Choose the account and pages to connect

Back in Danim, the Connect your LinkedIn pages window lists your Personal account and the pages you manage (Organization). Everything is ticked by default.

Untick what you do not want to connect, then click Confirm.

The number in brackets shows how many accounts and pages will be connected.

That's it: you can post to your LinkedIn profile and pages from Danim.

If the connection expires (for example after a LinkedIn password change), the badge changes to Connection expired (orange). Then click Reconnect to restore access.

FAQ

1. Can I post to a LinkedIn company page?

Yes, if you are an admin of this page on LinkedIn. It appears in the Connect your LinkedIn pages window when you connect. Posting to LinkedIn groups is not available: for a group, download the video from Danim and post it on LinkedIn.

2. My LinkedIn page does not appear in the list, why?

Only the pages you are an admin of on LinkedIn are offered. Ask a page admin for this role, then reconnect LinkedIn from Settings > Network connections.

3. LinkedIn connected the wrong account, what should I do?

LinkedIn uses the account open in your browser. Disconnect this account in Danim, open linkedin.com, click your profile picture, then Sign out, and start the connection again from Connect an account.

4. What should I do if my videos are no longer posted on LinkedIn?

In Danim, go to Settings > Network connections, LinkedIn section. If the account shows Connection expired, click Reconnect and follow the steps again. Once the status is back to Connected, your next posts go out normally.

5. How do I remove the connection with LinkedIn?

From Settings > Network connections, click the three small dots to the right of the LinkedIn account or page, then Disconnect.

Best practices 🎓

  • Check which account is open on LinkedIn in your browser before clicking Continue.

  • Only connect the pages you actually post to, to keep a clear list when scheduling.

  • Check the status of your LinkedIn connection regularly, especially if you schedule posts in advance.

  • After a LinkedIn password change, reconnect LinkedIn in Danim to avoid any blocking.

  • If you work as a team, share the LinkedIn connection in Danim rather than your personal login credentials.
