What is the ideal resolution ?
On Danim, Full HD (1920x1080) is the recommended resolution for the best balance of quality, compatibility, and file size. This ensures high-quality HD videos without taking up unnecessary storage space.
Which frame rate should I choose ?
A frame rate of 25 to 30 FPS is ideal for capturing scenes with minimal to moderate movement, such as walking or conversations. This frame rate gives your videos a more cinematic look, similar to what you see in movies.
Which photo format should I use?
The most common photo formats on modern smartphones are [4:3], [16:9], and [1:1]. Some devices also offer a Full Screen mode.
On Danim, you can choose from three aspect ratios :
Square ([1:1])
Portrait ([9:16]) with the phone in a vertical orientation
Landscape ([16:9]) with the phone in a horizontal orientation
To avoid black borders around your videos or images in Danim templates, it's recommended to capture your content in [16:9] format. The [1:1] format can also be useful if you're specifically creating square content.
H.264 vs. H.265 ?
Both are video compression standards. Currently, Danim only supports the H.264 codec.
Most modern smartphones are set to record in H.265 by default, so you will need to disable this mode in your video settings by unchecking High-Efficiency Video or selecting the "Most Compatible" mode.
