I. Setting up your account
Click on your profile picture at the top right of Facebook.
Select Settings & Privacy, then click on Settings.
Scroll down on the left and click on Accounts Center.
Go to Sharing Across Profiles under Connected Experiences.
Enable both toggles (turn them blue) for both accounts.
✅ Now, all your posts will be automatically shared on both platforms !
II. What cannot be shared
Some Facebook posts cannot be shared on Instagram.
Here are the types of posts that cannot be cross-posted :
Posts containing multiple videos or more than 10 photos.
Posts with images of different sizes.
Photos that are too large or too wide for Instagram.
Example : Cross-posted photos may be slightly cropped to fit Instagram’s format.
Facebook posts containing features not available on Instagram.
Example : Text-only posts, live videos, reshared content, and certain creative tools.
🚩 Important : Cross-posting can save you time, but…
Your Instagram and Facebook audiences are different and have different expectations.
If your followers see the same content on both platforms, they might engage with only one and ignore the other.
📌 Tip : To maximize engagement, try to diversify your posts for each platform !
