Before you start 🎯
This step is done entirely in the Meta interface, which brings together Facebook and Instagram.
You have a professional Facebook page, and not just a personal profile.
You have a professional Instagram account, Business or Creator, that you want to use with Danim.
You have sufficient rights on the Facebook page: administrator, editor, full control or partial control depending on the "new pages experience".
You are logged in to your Facebook account on a computer. We ideally recommend using Google Chrome.
You can log in to your Instagram account with your username and password.
Linking your Facebook page and your Instagram account
Step 1: Check whether Facebook and Instagram are properly linked
On your computer, log in to Facebook with the personal profile that manages your professional page. In the top right, click your profile photo, then select the professional page you want to connect to Danim:
Then, at the top center of the page, you will see a flag-shaped icon. Click it.
In the left sidebar, click Meta Business Suite.
If the Instagram icon appears in color, it means your Facebook and Instagram accounts are properly linked. In that case, the connection is already in place on the Meta side.
If the Instagram icon appears in black and white, it means your Instagram account is not yet linked to your Facebook page.
Step 2: Follow the steps to link Facebook and Instagram
Click the black-and-white Instagram icon to link your accounts:
A window opens with the message Add an Instagram profile to Meta Business Suite. Click Get started.
Allow or do not allow access to Instagram messages:
Meta may offer to allow access to Instagram messages from the Meta Business Suite inbox.
You will see the following option: Allow access to Instagram messages in the inbox. This option lets the people who manage your Facebook page see and reply to Instagram messages, depending on their roles on the page. You can leave this option enabled or turn it off, depending on your preference, then click Continue.
Log in with your professional Instagram account:
Click Log in with your Instagram account. Depending on the situation, Meta may offer you an Instagram account that is already connected, or ask you to enter your email address and password to log in.
If the account offered is indeed the professional Instagram account you want to link to your Facebook page, continue with this account.
If it is not the right account, click Switch account to log in with the right professional Instagram account.
Confirm the Facebook page to associate:
In some cases, Meta may tell you that this Instagram profile is already connected to a Facebook page. That is normal: an Instagram profile can only be connected to one Facebook page at a time.
Meta will then offer you two options:
Switch page: to connect this Instagram account to another Facebook page.
Keep the current page: to keep the Facebook page currently connected to this Instagram account.
Select the option that matches your situation, then click Confirm.
Once the confirmation is done, the Instagram icon will appear in color. This means your professional Facebook page has been properly linked to your professional Instagram account.
You can then go back to Danim to connect or reconnect your Instagram account.
FAQ
1. Why do I have to link my Instagram account to a Facebook page?
Meta requires the link between a professional Instagram account and a Facebook page in order to enable certain professional features, in particular posting through external tools such as Danim.
2. Can I link several Instagram accounts to the same Facebook page?
No. A Facebook page can only be associated with one Instagram account at a time, and vice versa.
If you need to manage several professional Instagram accounts, you will need several separate Facebook pages.
3. I cannot see my Instagram account or my Facebook page in the choices, what should I do?
In most cases, this is a rights problem on the Facebook page.
Check that you have:
on a standard Facebook page: an Administrator or Editor role;
on the new Facebook pages experience: full or partial control;
if the page is managed through Business Manager: the right access to the page in Business Manager.
Once your rights have been checked or corrected, go back to Meta Business Suite and start the link again.
4. I have linked my accounts, but Danim tells me that Facebook and Instagram are not associated. What should I do?
After linking your Facebook page and your professional Instagram account, go back to Danim and reconnect your Instagram account in Settings > Network connections. This lets Danim update the list of available accounts and correctly detect the association between your Facebook page and your Instagram account.
If the problem persists, check that:
the linked Instagram account is indeed a professional account
the Facebook page chosen is the one you want to use in Danim
you have the necessary rights on this Facebook page
the Instagram account is not already linked to another Facebook page

Before you start, make sure:
you are an administrator or editor of the Facebook page;
or that you have full or partial control if you use the new pages experience
or that you have the right rights in Business Manager if your page is managed from there.
We also recommend doing the link from a computer.
If you have a problem accessing Instagram, for example if you have forgotten your password, go through the Meta Accounts Center first: Password and security > Change password. You can then try the link again.
