Feed Posts : The core of Instagram content

Feed posts, also known as "wall" or "grid" posts, form the foundation of your Instagram account.

These posts are displayed in a grid format on your profile and appear in your followers’ feeds. Maintaining a visually cohesive feed is essential for brand consistency.

Feed posts play a crucial role in your content strategy, helping to shape your brand identity and establish a strong visual presence

Objective of Instagram Feed Posts

Encourage users to follow your brand or business by subscribing to your account.

However, feed posts can also appear in other areas of Instagram, such as the "Explore" page or in search results when users look up relevant hashtags.

To maximize visibility and organic* reach, it is crucial to develop a strong hashtag and tagging strategy, including location, people, and pages.

- Pros and cons

Pros of Feed Posts
✅ Helps create and reinforce a strong, cohesive brand image
✅ Acts as a storefront, enhancing brand perception

Cons of Feed Posts
❌ Requires additional content strategy work to maintain a visually appealing and coherent feed over time
❌ Needs an effective hashtag and tagging strategy to perform well organically*

Reels : The modern video format

The "Reels" feature allows users to create short videos with filters, effects, music, and other creative tools.

Reels can be posted on the main feed, along with photos and carousels, but they also have a dedicated Reels tab on your profile.

A key advantage of this format is that Reels autoplay as users scroll through other Reels, increasing visibility and engagement.

Recently, Instagram’s algorithm has prioritized Reels in the “Explore” section, making them an excellent tool to reach a wider audience organically.

- Pros and cons

Pros of Reels
✅ Allows you to reach a broader audience organically
✅ Increases engagement with your community
✅ Provides creative freedom

Cons of Reels
❌ Requires time and skills to master different editing tools
❌ Needs to capture attention in the first few seconds to be effective

Stories : The ephemeral format for engagement

Stories are Instagram’s most ephemeral and spontaneous format, disappearing after 24 hours.

They appear at the top of users’ feeds, with the most recent ones displayed first, making it essential to post regularly to maintain visibility.

Stories can include photos or videos and do not require as much effort as a feed post. You can enhance them with stickers, GIFs, links, or interactive elements such as polls and questions.

If you want your story to last longer, you can save it to your "Highlights", organizing them into different categories (e.g., tips, customer reviews, services).

Pros and cons

Pros of Stories
High visibility among users
Easy-to-create and dynamic format that emphasizes authenticity and spontaneity
✅ Increases engagement with interactive elements like polls, questions, GIFs, and music
✅ Creates curiosity due to its short-lived nature
✅ Enables resharing of posts or other users' stories, fostering reciprocity

Cons of Stories
❌ Requires consistent posting to maintain visibility with your audience
